New ‘Justice League’ image teams up Batman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash

A new photo from Justice League has surfaced, bringing together a popular trio of DC Comics characters.

The photo sees Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck's Batman, and Ezra Miller's The Flash standing together in a moment which, based on the look on their faces, is quite a serious one. The photo was originally released by People.

“This is a step in evolution to bring together all of these characters who have had their origins,” Affleck said of Justice League's premise. “It’s about multilateralism, and it’s about hope and about working together and the kind of conflicts of trying to work together with others. Part of the drama of the movie is the question of whether or not the team is going to come together. It’s very different from the tenor of the last movie and there’s also more room for humor.”

Absent from the photo are Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Henry Cavill's Superman, and Ray Fisher's Cyborg, but their union will inevitably come during the films running time.

Justice League will mark the first time each of these characters share the big screen simultaneously, though each of them has appeared in a previous film from the DC Extended Universe. In fact, each made their first appearance with these actors in the role during Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, though Batman and Wonder Woman's roles in the film were considerably larger.
